Braised Fresh Cucumbers

1) In a bowl, layer cucumbers and sprinkle with a little salt. Add a little cold water and refrigerate, covered, for 30 minutes.
2) In a large skillet, saute bacon until crisp; drain well; add thoroughly drained cucumbers and remaining ingredients; stir to mix well.
3) Cook, covered over low heat for 10 to 12 minutes.
